Reality Check

This morning I stepped on the scale to see the damage that had been done over the Holiday.
The week before Christmas  with my sisters wedding and all I weighed myself because I knew I would be probably gaining some weight. I was 194 and I was SO happy!
Today, I am 198. I only gained 4lbs over the Holiday but to me it feels like a Giant step backwards.
I am trying extremely hard not to get discouraged. After all, it's only 4lbs. However, I am disappointed in myself.
I had a plan of action. I didn't work out but a few times. Ok, maybe like once.

Today is a new day. It's time to get back into gear and REALLY start to lose!
My new goal for 2010 is to be down to 150 (as before) by  June. I say June because my cousin's wedding is in June :)

What was the Damage (If any) of your Holiday?

Goal for the month of January 10lbs. Weigh in on January 31st!

8 Thoughts & Reactions:

  1. I don't know if it was just the holidays, but I gained 10 pounds since the beginning of November.

  2. I think I held firm but that's not really a great thing...

  3. 4lbs....not devastating, considering everything that went on in that time!

My damage for the holidays was 8lbs. I couldn't believe it! But yet I could, because the Deep South knows how to cook. And bake. lol

  5. Well, I'm glad you stepped on the scale with the thought that you may have gained, because really, who hasn't gained a little over the holidays (and weddings). You're right though, today is a fresh start!! You can do it! :)

  6. Well I tried to comment on your today's post above but, there was no place to do it! Oh lucky you getting soup! That's awesome, and I'm going to cross my lil fingers for you and hope that you get on their website. I'm doing my best to watch what I eat as the ever third trimester looms over me. I don't want to be gaining masses amounts of weight unrelated to baby. Good luck getting that work out on track for the new year!! x

  7. We just got back from a cruise and I don't even want to talk about what I did. Food-wise, that is. I'm still processing the bad news. LOL

  8. Hey girl...haven't been by in awhile. Happy New Year! :) Don't fret too much over the weight gained over the holidays...the new year is a great time to get back on track. I think you should totally be able to be down to your goal weight by June. If you had a partner in crime that was working toward the same goal it might make it easier for you to get past the burn out point. Accountability Partner = pain in the bootie that will keep you motivated. ;)
